Congratulations to Cesar Coronel, Angelle Sanabria Grade 4, Brian Garcia, LeeLandra Rivera and Kenny Sanchez Grade 6.  Their stories have been published by Young Writers in a volume of New Jersey authors entitled Spooky Sagas.  Thank you to Mrs. Carin Bartels who coordinated the entries for the creative writing contest.


On Saturday, March 30, the Archdiocese of Newark held its third annual recognition celebration of Outstanding Catholic School Graduates in eighth grade from the elementary schools.  The ceremony was held in the Sacred Heart Chapel followed by a breakfast reception on the grounds of the Kearny Retreat Center. Congratulations to Andrea Toledo, eighth grade student from St. Peter School, who received her medal last Saturday. She along with other honored students from throughout the Archdiocese received the award for faith and scholarship.  Congratulations to Andrea, her family and to Mrs. Reese, our eighth grade teacher.  A special “Thank You” to four of our altar servers, Rodel and Jericho Perez, Christine and Joseph Nguyen who served the Mass with Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, the main celebrant. At St.Peter School we are proud of our students!

The Scholarship Fund for Inner – City Children invites you to apply for a partial-tuition scholarship for your child for the 2019 - 2020 School Year. Applications are available by visiting their website at

Partial-tuition scholarship are awarded based on financial need without regard to race, religion or ethnicity. The deadline to submit your completed on-line application is April 30th, 2019.

Being a current scholarship recipient does not guarantee an automatic scholarship award for the 2019-2020 School Year. Current recipients as well as all new applicants, must submit a completed application every year along with $30 application fee and the required financial documentation.  All applicants will be notified of their decision
